The dark, sharp armor along with the blood sky makes this painting even better. I would give this a 9.9 out of 10, the only thing is the axe, something is off about it and I cannot put my finger on it... Other then that, this is definitely a painting I would pay for
Wow! Truly great, as always. Really captivating. Great details and all this distance behind the vampire.
But unfortunately, there are some things I would like to complain about... His weapons seem to bee a bit off. For example the sword seems to be exactly pararell to the lines that make his gauntlet - if you hold sword normally, it doesn't work that way. The axe, on the other hand, seems to be facing more the army to the right, not the direction of the hand. But this is a rather minor flaw in this piece. Next: lights. You are painfully good at this, but some things doesn't seem to be completely all right. If you made this vibrant, bright colour in the sky behind him, I would not make a strong light source in the front. His face seems to be a little bit too highlighted - I would rather bet on the lights from behind and concentrate on it. I think you would pull it off very well. Lastly - the foreground skeletons. I don't feel any emptiness in the front, as TheKingMakers do, but their colour doesn't really fit. When the sky is so warm, I don't think that those human remains would stay this coldish grey. A little bit of warmness would be visible there. They seem as if they came from another picture - even when they are a great elements of this one.
Maybe I don't know the full story behind this picture and I'm making false accusations, so feel free to correct me. That's as much as I am able to get from this picture at the moment.
But putting those aside - truly great work! Keep up with pictures like this!
incredible! i'd love to see a higher resolution version of this if you have one
I love your color here, and everything you do attempt is flawlessly executed, but the image feels empty in the foreground, and I think with just the inclusion of a little more atmosphere in the front, you could add that little extra umph to make this truly amazing.
